What is an EEG pad?
An EEG (electroencephalogram) pad is a sensor placed within a pad that sticks to the head. The pad is placed on the head to send signals measuring brain activity to a monitor, on which the readings are displayed. The pad does not hurt.
When is an EEG pad used?
An EEG pad is used when the doctor wants to monitor the electrical activity in the brain.

The pad can be left in place for a short time or as long as days.
